Structure

At present Bangladesh Jute research Institute (BJRI) has 6 departments in agricultural studies, 4 in technical research, 1 in jute fabric research and a total of 12 departments consisting of planning, schooling and communication departments. Additionally critical Agricultural test Station for Jute at Manikganj and 4 nearby Jute studies centers at Rangpur, Faridpur, Kishoreganj and Chandina (Comilla) for locally based agricultural studies on jute as per the well timed wishes and requirements of the farmers.

There are three jute research sub-centres at Tarabo (Narayanganj), Manirampur (Jesore) and Kalapara (Patuakhali) and a jute seed production and studies middle at Nashipur (Dinajpur).
